Dr. Mahan Rishi Singh Khalsa, D.C. and Nirbhe Kaur Khalsa
The Khalsa Healing Arts & Yoga Center (Yardley, PA)
Dr. Mahan Rishi Singh Khalsa, D.C. and Nirbhe Kaur Khalsa started the Khalsa Healing Arts and Yoga Center located in Yardley, Pennsylvania to offer an environment for true holistic healing. As an adjunct to their Chiropractic, Massage, and Acupuncture practice they added the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan to help empower each person coming into their center. 2) Both Mahan Rishi Singh and Nirbhe Kaur feel blessed to have been personally taught by Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga, who brought this amazing science of yoga to the West in 1969. Under his direct guidance until his death in 2004, they have been shown the deep origins of Kundalini Yoga practice and lifestyle. Since the mid 70’s they have taught in a wide range of professional environments, teacher trainings, and holistic conferences and retreat centers both nationally and internationally.
Mala Yoga (New York, NY)
In 2007, I co-founded Mala Yoga; wanting to contribute to a place where students could not only build strong asana practices, but also learn to take their hard work on the mat and apply it to their busy lives off the mat. Drawing on extensive study of Vipassana meditation, Iyengar yoga, and a daily ashtanga practice, I teach compassionate, insightful classes that focus not only on building physical strength, but also self-acceptance.
Mala Yoga (New York, NY)
In 2007, I co-founded Mala Yoga with two amazing women. I believe that the practice of yoga goes beyond the reach of the yoga mat into everyday activities and that one can find wakeful moments in every aspect of their life, even in taking out the trash! On or off the mat I believe that sound technique, awareness and mindfulness are imperative to a strong foundation that allows us to “sway in the ever changing winds,” and that the greatest teacher is the one within.
Mala Yoga (New York, NY)
In 2007, I co-founded Mala Yoga, a community-based studio in Brooklyn, NY, with the idea that yoga can be a lifelong, life-enriching practice, both on the mat and off. I teach practitioners of all levels advanced principles of anatomy and alignment with clarity, patience, humor – and a real-life context that helps students understand how these ancient poses can help them manage the physical and emotional challenges of the modern age. I am also an avid, lifelong runner who believes that running and yoga can and need to peacefully co-exist!

Move Sweat Love (Boston, MA)
You can discover your own unique truths, define yourself, achieve your goals, and unleash your potential for great change through fitness. I define this as finding your “FITstyle” – a sweaty lifestyle that includes health and fitness at the core and one that you passionately embrace to consistently make yourself better, stronger, and brighter. I encourage my students to find ways to move that they find fun, engaging, and challenging and embrace movement as a never ending journey to finding their best self, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s not always easy, but always rewarding and that’s what makes it great. Strive to live life with love and passion in a body you’re proud of.

An educator by vocation, Malissa first stepped onto the mat in 2007. Feeling both humbled and empowered by an invigorating vinyasa flow, she deepened her understanding of the Krishnamacharya yoga lineage by studying under Suzanne Leitner-Wise’s teacher training program in Alexandria, VA. A certified yoga teacher since 2010, Malissa firmly believes that the yoga community must be open and accessible to all ages, shapes, and abilities. With persistence, patience, and a sense of humor, she encourages students to rediscover strength in both the physical and subtle body as their practice blossoms and grows.
Krista started focusing her yoga practice during the winter of 2002 while living in Denver, CO. She graduated from Core Power Studio’s Power Vinyasa Yoga training in June 2002. Shortly after, she trained with Shiva Rae at Sacred Movement Studio in Venice, California, with Sarah Perron and Laura Staton at Baby OM in NYC, Prenatal Yoga at Prana Yoga and Ayurvedic Mandala in Denver, and most recently David Swenson and back with Shiva Rae in and around the Boston area. Krista’s style is based on feeling the poses from a more energetic place within the posture, of unearthing the freedom as manifested in bodily expression…her classes are always lighthearted and fun!
My name is Michael Mann and I teach a playful, rigorous power vinyasa flow at several studios in the greater Boston area. I enjoy creative sequencing, core work, arm balances and inversions, and I offer lots of options and modifications in my classes so students can find comfort and steadiness within the challenge of the flow. In addition to vinyasa classes, I love teaching gentle/relax and renew and I love how the two practices compliment each other so nicely. I am so grateful for the freedom, choice, space, and empowerment this practice continues to offer me and I love sharing it with others so they can find the same things.
I began practicing yoga in 2004, and since that time have studied many different forms and styles, which I now combine to create classes that are exceptionally dynamic. Through purposeful sequencing, and careful attention to breath and sensation within the body, I teach people how to realign with their most authentic self, to silence inner distractions, thus enabling them to reconnect with their passion, their joy, and inevitably lead them toward immense contentment and fulfillment in all aspects of their lives. There is nothing in my life that I am more passionate about than assisting other people along their journey toward a more authentic experience of themselves.
Sara very vividly remembers the first time stepping onto her yoga mat. It was a crazy, packed crowded class and everyone was talking to their neighbor, laughing and smiling. For a moment she thought she would simply duck out and come back later for the calmer, less busy class. Thankfully something inside told her to stay and have an open mind and by the end of that class she knew that this awesome practice of yoga was for her! She has completed the teacher training program at Zuda Yoga under the guidance of Anne Marie Kramer and Bill Prysock. Sarah has also taught at Crunch Fitness and New York Yoga in NYC and has been a guest teacher at O Yoga in Syracuse, NY. What makes it so powerful is becoming who you already are, standing in it, breathing in it and BELIEVING in it! Her classes are almost always challenging but filled with fun, great music, stories and laughter and hopefully a few smile-asanas!
Chapel Hill, NC
I was fortunate to have parents who introduced me to yoga in my toddler years. As an instructor, I feel fortunate to have studied with beloved and inspiring teachers at the Kripalu Institute and have attended in the Spring of 2013 the Sacred Lasya Advanced Vinyasa teacher training in India. Whether leading aerial yoga, hoop dance, guided mediation, a gentle beginners class, or vigorous vinyasa, I like to encourage students to find their edge, take new chances, and open to new possibilities, while always tuning into their internal space to listen to their mind and body. I like to encourage, inspire, and nurture that mind-body connection as much as possible in others. I received my 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Institute in western MA, and will complete my 500-hour Advanced Vinyasa teacher training in Kerala, India.
